Lars Silberbauer Joins the Board of Scenit

I've just joined the board of Scenit a unique Danish organisation dedicated to the promotion and development of professional performing arts across Denmark.


Scenit is Denmark's national backbone for professional performing arts, running the country's main theatre ticketing platform (Teaterbilletter.dk), the national discovery platform Scenen.dk, and the central database for the entire sector. Backed by the Danish Arts Foundation it's the connective tissue between Danish theatre and its audiences.


It feels like a natural next step. Music and theatre have been part of my life long before marketing was. I played trumpet, piano, and bass, toured with orchestras, and grew up surrounded by creativity. Scenit is a one-of-a-kind organisation in Denmark, bridging theatres, audiences, technology, and data in ways no one else does. I'm looking forward to contributing a strategic marketing and international perspective as they continue to evolve.

Scenit Strengthens Its Board with Strategic Marketing Expertise

Scenit is delighted to welcome Lars Silberbauer as a new board member. Lars joins with a mandate to strengthen the board's strategic marketing capabilities and bring a broad international perspective combined with a deep passion for culture and the performing arts.

Lars has an impressive career as a Global CMO and international advisor in brand, transformation, and leadership. He is currently an Operating Partner at Goldman Sachs in New York and has previously held senior international positions in brand and marketing at MTV/Paramount, the International Olympic Committee, and the LEGO Group. Beyond his professional career, Lars has a personal background in music and theatre. He has played trumpet, piano, and bass, and toured with orchestras the arts have always been close to his heart.


Lars holds a double BA in Media Science and Musicology and a MA from the University of Copenhagen, a HD from Copenhagen Business School, and has completed McKinsey's Marketing Fellowship Accelerator.

On joining the board, Lars says:

“Music and theatre have always been a significant part of my life, and through my international career — from the entertainment industry in the US to global sports events — I have gained a broad perspective on marketing and audience development. I look forward to contributing that perspective to Scenit.”

A Strategic Outlook

With Lars on board, Scenit strengthens its strategic focus on marketing and technology — two areas evolving at rapid pace. There is no other organisation in Denmark quite like Scenit; it is a uniquely positioned collaboration. Lars's deep experience and international perspective are therefore invaluable as Scenit navigates the development ahead.

Board Chair Christina Østerby adds:

“We are very pleased to welcome Lars to Scenit's board. He brings a rare combination of international experience and strategic marketing insight. Scenit is at an exciting stage of development, where we need to strengthen our position and think in new ways about how we engage audiences and embrace technology. Lars will be a strong sparring partner for both the board and the organisation.”

Scenit's board has five additional members and is chaired by Christina Østerby.
