Returning to Lisbon for the VisitPortugal conference was an experience I truly enjoyed. The city continues to impress me not only as a hub for startups but also as a destination rich in culinary treasures. My keynote at the event was a rewarding opportunity to connect with passionate professionals, and the time I spent exploring Lisbon’s vibrant food scene made the trip even more memorable.

A Memorable Keynote at VisitPortugal

The VisitPortugal conference in Lisbon brought together an inspiring group of people dedicated to promoting Portugal’s tourism and culture. Delivering my keynote in such a dynamic setting was a highlight of the trip. I shared insights on innovation and growth, and the audience’s enthusiasm made the experience energizing.

Lisbon’s reputation as a city that fosters startups is well deserved. The mix of creativity, support networks, and a welcoming atmosphere creates fertile ground for new ideas. This environment was evident throughout the conference, where conversations buzzed with potential collaborations and fresh perspectives.

Staying at Memmo Príncipe Real

My stay at the Memmo Príncipe Real hotel added a special touch to the visit. Nestled in one of Lisbon’s most charming neighborhoods, the hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort and style. Its rooftop pool and views of the city skyline provided a relaxing retreat after busy conference days.

The location also made it easy to revisit some of my favorite spots nearby. One place that stands out is Pica Pau, a cozy restaurant known for its authentic Portuguese dishes. Returning there felt like coming home, and the flavors were just as delightful as I remembered.

Lisbon’s Food Scene: A Feast for the Senses

Lisbon’s culinary scene is a treasure trove for food lovers. From fresh seafood to hearty meat dishes, the city offers a variety of tastes that reflect its rich culture and history. During my visit, I enjoyed several meals that stood out for their quality and authenticity.

Pica Pau remains a favorite for its warm atmosphere and delicious menu. The restaurant’s signature dish, a flavorful mix of marinated meat bites, perfectly captures the essence of Portuguese comfort food. Beyond Pica Pau, I explored local markets and smaller eateries, each offering unique dishes that told a story.

The combination of great food and the city’s vibrant energy makes Lisbon a fantastic destination not only for business but also for leisure. Whether you are a startup founder or a traveler seeking new tastes, Lisbon has something special to offer.

Gratitude to the VisitPortugal Team

I want to extend my thanks to the VisitPortugal team for organizing such a well-run event. Their dedication to showcasing Portugal’s strengths and supporting the community was clear throughout the conference. The team’s hospitality made my stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Being part of this event reinforced my appreciation for Lisbon as a city that balances innovation with tradition. It’s a place where ideas flourish and where every meal is an opportunity to connect with culture.
