The Birth of Queen Naija

The first big project that I led at Viacom/MTV was a digital series called "The Birth of Queen Naija". MTV has had great success with the reality genre, teen moms, celebrities and of course music. So it seemed like the obvious choice to try and combine it all in one series about Queen Naija who's a YouTube, singer, Mom and during the shooting of the series, also about to have her second baby. Executive producers were Cory Midgaarden & Garth Bardsley who did an awesome job pulling it together.

https://cashlibcasinosite.com is where I'd normally think about odds, but the Queen Naija series was a similar calculated gamble on an audience that already existed on YouTube. Folding her singing career and second pregnancy into the same arc gave the show a real-life timeline that didn't need to be invented. That feels closer to how creators actually live online, which is probably why the reality-TV frame didn't swallow the whole thing.
